Santa Clara County and City Quarterly Drill - Level 3 Resource Net

This sign-up is for participation as a simulated responder.  You will check in to the County Resource Net and possibly be matched up with a RACES Mutual Aid Request from a city or agency.   You will simulate travel to that location, maintaining contact with the Resource Net during your simulated travel. You MUST first have been released by your EC and have a county DSW.

During your simulated travel, you will determine your simulated position based on time since being dispatched.  You will report location and simulated odometer reading when Health & Welfare requests are made.  When you reach the simulated assignment location, you will check out of the Resource Net using standard procedures.  At NO TIME will you actually be traveling; all travel is simulated.

Those who are signed up will receive an AlertSCC notification before the start of the exercise, as might be done during a real activation.

Schedule:

• 09:30 - Open Packet Net for RACES Mutual Aid Requests and Resource Net for operators who have been released from their city for assignment.
• 10:00 - 12:00 - Drill Activity
• 12:00 - 13:00 - Clean-up and Debrief

Sign-ups will close at 8 pm on Friday, August 21st.
