You will be simulating a deployment as a shadow for an event official. Your assignment will be to act as a shadow for an event leader and provide communications support for them. You will receive a detailed assignment briefing when you check-in.

You will need an HT with an earbud or headset and sufficient battery to last for at least a two-hour shift. You will be mobile so will need a clipboard and a way to carry forms, spare batteries, water, etc.

For Credential evaluations refer to the Credentialing Program Handbook. Your operation must meet the requirements defined in the Performance Standards and Best Practices.

If you are requesting a Credential evaluation for either the S3 or S2 credential during your assignment, make sure you meet the prerequisites found in the Credentiual Program Handbook. If you are only missing something that is related to scheduling (a missing class) or event that is hard to obtain, the Credential Program Maanger may apporve your participation if you can demonstrate your plan to meet the prerequisites at the next avaiable opportunity. You will need to make a request, this is not automatic.

For Credential evaluations for N3 or N2:

  • You will need to operate as outlined in the Credentialing Program Handbook for the specific credential level.
  • Your performance must meet the requirements defined in the Performance Standards and Best Practices.

Everyone being evaluated must use the Resource Net for travel to and from the drill, DSW registered participamts are encouraged to do so.
