-- THIS IS DRILL TRAFFIC -- Drill Operating Plan - Jan 17, 2015 ======================================= Had this been a real emergency, a bulletin such as this would be used to distribute operating procedures and other instructions for the operational period. For today's drill, simply follow the steps below. These instructions apply to city/agency EOCs only. Be sure to include "DRILL TRAFFIC" in all your messages. Voice Operations ------------------- Message Net Primary: W6TI Repeater [147.360 (+) 110.9] Message Net Backup: W6FB Repeaters [145.450 (-) 100.0 -OR- 442.575 (+) 100.0] Command Net: WB6ZVW Repeater [442.500 (+) 100.0] Packet Operations ------------------- Hint: All the information you need to complete each of the steps below is contained in the latest version of the following three bulletins: -- SCCo Packet Tactical Calls -- SCCo Packet Frequencies -- SCCo Packet Subject Line You should always keep a copy of the most recent version of these bulletins in the Archive folder of Outpost on your PC. Outpost will normally only retrieve the bulletins once. To cause Outpost to retrieve the bulletins again, use: Actions > Force one-time bulletin retrieve, then press Send/Receive. Try to solve any problems on your own. But if you need technical assistance, use the Command Net. All cities/agencies should complete as many of the following steps as possible. At a minimum, complete steps 1, 2, 6 and 8. ** 1) If you have not already done so, send a plain text "check-in" message from your city/agency tactical call sign to the Santa Clara County EOC. The subject field should include "Check-in", your tactical call sign, and your city/agency name. ** 2) If you have not already done so, download the above three bulletins and save them in your Archive folder. Then, send a plain text message to the Santa Clara County EOC. In the body of the message, list the Subject field (including the version number) of all three of the above bulletins. 3) Send a City Scan/Flash Report to the Santa Clara County EOC identifying any simulated drill conditions in your city. For consistency, non-city agencies should still send the City Scan form and select "Other" for the city. 4) Send a Mutual Aid Request form to the Santa Clara County EOC identifying any mutual aid resources your agency needs for your simulated drill scenario. For this message only, we will simulate that you are temporarily unable to reach your primary BBS. Therefore, send the form by connecting to your secondary BBS and sending it to the the Santa Clara County EOC (at its primary BBS). 5) Send a Logistics Request form identifying any equipment or supplies you need to help with your simulated drill scenario. For this message only, we will simulate that you have been told that the SCCo EOC is temporarily unable to reach its primary BBS. Therefore, send the form to the Santa Clara County EOC at its secondary BBS. ** 6) Send an ICS-213 Message to Scott Morse in the EOC Radio Room at the Santa Clara County EOC. The message should contain the call signs and first and last names of all hams who participated in this drill at your city or agency. 7) Send any other packet messages you wish to send. ** 8) When you are ready to shut down your packet system, send a plain text "check-out" message from your city/agency tactical call sign to the Santa Clara County EOC. The subject field should include "Check-out", your tactical call sign, and your city/agency name. -- END OF MESSAGE --
