You are invited to the Silicon Valley Emergency Communications System (SVECS) Quarterly Breakfast on Saturday, October 26th, 2019 at the Santa Clara Senior Center, 1303 Fremont Street, in Santa Clara. The delicious meal will be served at 0900 followed by a program at 1000.
Rachel Kinoshita KK6DAC, a member of Menlo Park CERT and South San Mateo County ARES will present a very in-depth discussion of batteries for handheld use and also 12 volt portable operations. She made comparisons of different battery chemistries with pros and cons of each and their various characteristics, such as shelf life, current capability, single use/rechargeability, leakage, capacity, and cost effectiveness. The results of Rachel's thorough research and testing will help you decide which batteries would be the optimum choice for your particular application.
The door prize will be $100 and the breakfast cost will be $6.
