Ham Cram (for Technician License) - open to the general public

Date: 05/25/19 Start: 8:00 AM End: 5:00 PM Location: Los Gatos EOC (15900 LG Blvd)
Credential Credit (What's this?): No

This listing is to help us advertise the class to CERT and other neighborhood groups with members who are interested in getting a ham license.  It's a great way to increase the ranks of local ARES-ACS-RACES teams.  We see many of our graduates at the County ARES-ACS-RACES Saturday classes.  We encourage all of our Ham Cram graduates to start with the County Intro to and Fundamentals of Emergency Communications classes and then continue with all the valuable classes that County ARES-ACS-RACES puts on for adding to and maintaining emergency radio skills.

This is the 15th Ham Cram put on quarterly by the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno ACS-RACES group as a public service to all who wish to support their family and community in an Emergency (or Public Service Events).

It is an instructor-led Ham Cram with 6 instructors for the day.  The slides were originally created by the Saratoga Amateur Radio Assocation (SARA) and, of course, have been updated for the current 2018-2022 Question Pool.

There have been well over 300 graduates since 2016 with a 90% pass rate.  Attendees come principally from Santa Clara County, but have included participants from San Francisco, Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, San Benito and Sacramento counties, among others.

The class starts promptly at 08:00 and ends at 16:00 with lunch and other breaks.  The FCC Volunteer Examiners ( take over at 16:00 to conduct the FCC testing process.

Help us spread the word to everyone who might benefit.  This is the second class in 2019.  There will also be classes on Saturday, Aug 24, and Saturday, Nov 23.

SIgnups are not accepted here, only on EventBrite, so ...
