Ham Cram (for Technician License) - open to the general public

Date: 11/17/18 Start: 8:00 AM End: 5:00 PM Location: Los Gatos EOC (15900 LG Blvd)
MAC Credit (What's this?): No

This listing is to help us advertise the class to your CERT and other neighborhood groups that might be interested in getting a ham license.  It's a great way to increase the ranks of your local ARES-ACS-RACES team.  I see many of our graduates at the County ARES-ACS-RACES Saturday classes.  We encourage all of our graduates to start with the County Intro and Fundamentals of Emergency Communications classes and then continue with all the valuable classes that County ARES-ACS-RACES puts on for adding to and maintaining emergency radio skills.

This is the 13th Ham Cram put on quarterly by the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno ACS-RACES group as a service to all who wish to support their family and community in an Emergency (or Public Service Event).  It is an instructor-led Ham Cram with 6 instructors for the day.  The slides were originally created by the Saratoga Amateur Radio Assocation (SARA) and, of course, have been updated for the current 2018-2022 Question Pool..

There have been well over 250 graduates since 2016 with a 90% pass rate.  Attendees come principally from Santa Clara County, but have included participants from San Francisco, Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, San Benito and Sacramento counties.

The class starts promptly at 08:00 and ends at 16:00 with lunch and other breaks.  The FCC Volunteer Examiners ( take over at 16:00 to conduct the FCC testing process.

Help us spread the word to everyone who might benefit.  This is the last class in 2018.  There will be four in 2019.
