The City will be conducting the Prepare Santa Clara, 2017 Full Scale Exercise. The City’s Alternate Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will be activated at the Fire Training Center from 8:30 AM until 1:30 PM and the field component will be an emergency shelter exercise, Sheltering Santa Clara, 2017, at the Santa Clara Convention Center from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM in partnership with the Red Cross, Silicon Valley Chapter.
NOTE: To support this event, all operators must have a valid Live Scan from his/her local city in Santa Clara County, or from the County of Santa Clara, or from the City of Santa Clara. All operators who are not MACs or City of Santa Clara RACES members must show proof of valid Live Scan or they will not be allowed to work the event.
All operators with valid Live Scan who are not MACs nor City of Santa Clara RACES members will be required to sign a DSW registration form and be sworn in on site before their shift begins which will cover the operator for the duration of the shift.
The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
