Overall Event: This is a county-wide exercise focused on emergency communications. It is designed to provide participants with valuable in-field operating experience. It will include several fun and challenging assignments. Of course, standard County procedures will be used: Resource Net, ICS documentation, Performance Standards and Best Practices.
Packet Assignment: Dedicated focus on assembling, configuring and operating a packet station such as might be found at any EOC in the county.
Info for Non-MACS: All amateur radio operators are welcome. You can be a new ham or a seasoned operator. There will be fun and challenging activities for both.
There is a packet "Get On The Air" activity for anyone who would like to give packet a try. Mentors will be available to help you through the process of sending a message--packet equipment will be provided.
Info for MACs and MITs: Mutual Aid Communicators (MACs) and MACs in Training (MITs) will still receive the same challenging assignments as others, but you can also sign up for evaluations for MAC qualifications.
Sign-ups:. Click on each position name to read the requirements for each position before signing up. Then sign up for your preference of assignments. Attendees who arrive at County Staging prior to 09:00 will have time to complete two assignments. For example, if you arrive at the start of the drill, you could perform two activities from Packet, Shadow, Field Ops or Net Control. If you plan to stay for two assignments, please sign up for your two preferred assignments.

Note: If you do not have a valid county DSW you may sign up and attend but not check into the resource net as they will not be able to track you. You will be signed as a county DSW at staging for the duration of the event.
The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
