Event Detail and Sign Up

This event is a Coastal Region Communications Exercise primarily focusing on HF SHARES communications between the Coastal Region Op Areas and the state.

Must hold a County EOC Radio Operator Endorsement or have CRO approval to participate. Prior knowledge of WinLink Express is helpful but not required.

Scenerio:  4 hours after a significant earthquake off the California Coast the Local Op Area will be establishing communications following SEMS to request and/or provide Mutual Aid resources to other Op Areas in the Region.

We will be using the SHARES HF equipment for this exercise.  Each participant will spend an hour each operating the SHARES station and a Winlink station.

There will not be a Resource Net for this Exercise.

The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
