This is a two-day event. This entry is for Saturday, July 8. If you want to sign up for Sunday, go here. Limited evaluations are available both days.
Note: we are planning for this to be a credential credit event. The paperwork hasn't been approved yet, but we are working on it!
Hams are needed to support the Arts & Wine Festival in Los Altos. There will be two shifts available, an AM shift and a PM shift. Hams will provide additional eyes and ears for both the police department and the event organizer.
With help from the County, we are able to offer evaluations for F3 and N3 only. Sorry, Shadow evaulations will not be available. If you want to do an evaluation be sure to read the notes at the end of this description.
The AM shift will run from 9:30 to 2:00 PM. The PM shift will run from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
Note: the message passing portion of the evaluations will not be done during the event. After your shift is over, you will be given a short break (about 30 minutes), then the message passing portion will be performed. This means that your shift, if you are being evaluated, will run longer than what is published here. Plan on an extra 1 1/2 hrs to 2 hrs.
Note: Hams requesting a Net Control evaluation will receive priority over other Net Control operators.
Note: please contact us if you need a F3 or N3 evaluation and this event is full (wild dream on our part). We will adjust the schedule as needed to provide as many evaluations as feasible.
The following positions are available for this event. You can state your preference when you sign up for the event. The event coordinator will attempt to accommodate your request. Based on the event and its requirements, the event coordinator may move hams to positions other than those requested.
