Field Operations Parts 1 & 2 are the underpinning for most all the other MAC qualifications.
In Field Operations part 2 you will learn and be able to explain:
- The role of the advanced communicator
- Dealing with problems in the field
- Damage survey and reporting
- Message handling
- How to set up for field base station operations

How to function as an advanced field communicator to:
- Perform all field communicator 1 duties
- Effectively and efficiently pass formal and informal traffic at medium to high levels
- Operate on one frequency while participating inn light activity on another frequency
- Properly document and log all activities
- Plan and coordinate communications for events, including proper documentation
Monitor AA6BT, 146.115 MHz ,+ offset, PL of 100.0 Hz, the morning of the class for any changes relative to the class, location, etc.
The location for this training is the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety HQ. The GPS coordinates for the "Front Door" of Sunnyvale Dept. of Public Safety HQ are: N 37 22.2412 W 122 2.4012 The physical street address is: 700 All America Way Cross Street is Olive Ave. Thomas Brothers Map 832-D1 Class attendees will be admitted by showing their agency issued ID, to the Records staff.
Note: 90% or better class time attendance required for credit.
