Course Description and Class Handouts

Overview:	This course is designed to prepare individuals to perform net control duties as a fully independent operator for low to medium speed county nets.
Intended Audience:	Hams with experience in emergency communications who are interested in performing Net Control duties.
Prerequisites:	Valid Technician class or higher Amateur Radio license
Length:	3 hours
Students should bring:	Copy of course handouts (see below) Pen/pencil and pad of paper
Learning Objectives:	At the end of this course, students will be able to: Understand how critical the net control operator is to effective communications for the entire net Explain the purpose and usage of county nets Understand net control operator qualification levels Explain proper net control operator attributes Perform record keeping and logging properly Understand the equipment required for net controls Operate a Level 1 Resource Net Operate a Resource Net for a drill or event
